The weather along the Gulf Coast can be rather tricky sometimes and this year I believe we have seen more rain that ever before.  Yet mother nature provided us with a beautiful sky and no gust of wind.  Everyone in this family was blessing to be around, so sweet and polite.  I love capturing family get togethers because in this crazy hectic world we live in, it is sometimes hard to get everyone together and capturing this moment they have planned is oh so special.  When I edit these type of sessions, I think about how the grandkids are going to look back at these photos one day and hopefully cherish them.  I know I would, because I have none of my family vacations with my grandparents.  So if you've ever wondered why I enjoy capturing families on vacation, this is part of the reason.  I want to freeze their memories, so they will have them years from now.

Photographing families is my favorite thing and I get the opportunity to do so a lot during the summer.  Whether it's an extended family coming together from all over the country or a family of three with a tradition of coming down to the beach every year; it's always been my favorite to capture life-long memories to be passed on from generation to generation.  It's a rare occasion for extended families to come together for a vacation, because families may live all across the country in different states which makes it hard to plan a reunion vacation that is able to suit the needs of all.  But this family came together for a vacation with each other, reuniting cousins who haven't seen each other in months and siblings who haven't seen each other in years. They came down to our small little beach in Gulf Shores, Alabama and created memories that will last a lifetime, and I had the privilege of capturing just a few of these moments for this wonderful family, despite the wet sand we had from rain earlier.
